Beverly Hills Gastroenterologist Services
Innovative Prevention, Diagnosis & Treatment of GI Illnesses
At the Center for GI Health, we take a comprehensive and compassionate approach to GI health management. With innovative treatment options and a personalized, in-depth approach to patient care, we identify and treat a variety of conditions – and help our patients return to full health in a short period of time. Be sure to look at symptoms to watch out for if you are experiencing discomfort.
In-Depth Medical Consultations
At the Center for GI Health, we limit the number of patients we see per day, allowing us to spend more time with each patient to fully understand your symptoms, educate them on GI health, and formulate a clear strategy to obtain a diagnosis and administer the most effective treatment. Each office visit consists of approximately 30-45 minutes of one-on-one time with the doctor and includes a full review of prior workups and treatment.
Colonoscopy
Colon cancer is the second largest cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. It is preventable, but if detected early, the prognosis for recovery is very good. Every adult should have a colonoscopy.
Upper Endoscopy / EGD
Certain GI issues require a closer look to diagnose and treat the problem. Those who suffer from upper intestinal symptoms may require an endoscopy of the digestive tract – A diagnostic and therapeutic procedure performed under sedation in which a scope with a camera is inserted into the upper intestinal tract.
Capsule Endoscopy
The PillCam capsule endoscopy is a comfortable and non-invasive way to visualize the small intestine. Patients do not require sedation and can go about their normal day after swallowing a small pill fitted with a camera. It transmits images to a recorder belt that the patient wears during the procedure as it moves through the small intestine.
Hemorrhoid Banding
With a low risk of complication, a high success rate, and minimal pain, hemorrhoid banding ligation is the Center for GI Health’s preferred treatment to eradicate internal hemorrhoids. This simple procedure places a small rubber band around the tissue just above the hemorrhoid, cutting off the blood supply and causing the hemorrhoid to fall off in 24-48 hours.
Breath Test
Conducted in the comfort of our offices, a simple breath test can effectively diagnose the causes of symptoms such as gas, bloating, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. We administer a breath test to identify the cause of symptoms and to tailor a patient’s treatment.
